For sale is a 1983–1984 Fender Squier JV Contemporary ST-554 Stratocaster, Made in Japan at the famed Fujigen factory during the original JV era. This is from the first wave of Fender Japan production when build quality rivalled - and often exceeded -contemporary USA output.

These JV Squiers were not “budget” guitars as the name later implied. They were part of Fender Japan’s flagship early production and are now widely respected among collectors and players alike.

This example is a true player-grade guitar with real character and real playability.
